Diana Weir D.V.M.
Diana graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine, Saskatchewan, in 1987 and went into mixed practice in Sydney, Nova Scotia for three years. She then travelled the world for six months and ended up on Vancouver Island practicing for four years where she met her kiwi husband Peter. She arrived in New Zealand in 1994, practiced as a locum vet for some time and then and ran her own practice in Lyttleton while raising her daughters Nina and Eva before returning to live in Canada for four years. She returned to New Zealand and settled into working at Ferrymead Veterinary Clinic until the earthquake of 2011 closed the practice. Luckily for Merivale Papanui Vets we were able to secure her as our vet and she continues to practice excellent small animal medicine and surgery.
Diana loves all things outdoors and is a keen skier, swimmer, paddler and runner. She has a very demanding Birman cat who is addicted to temptations.
